If you have chosen the VB track then it would be logical to sit the 70-176 (Desktop) exam first.

any ideas when Microsoft will retire 70-176?
VB.net is on the horizon

I can't see anything at MS website about retiring 70-176. In my opinion I don't think MS will retire the exam for a good 2 years. They have only recently retired the VB5 exam and VB5 has been "out of it" for a while now.

I was also planning to take the MCSD track, my plan is to take the 70-176 exam first and then the 70-175. I think 70-176 is much easier than the 70-175 which is the Distributed.

Take the 70-176 Exam Desktop Application and after which you can take the 70-175 Exam - Distributed Applications.

Good Luck and More Power!!!

thanks octopus_vip!

i had always thought that 70-100 will give me a good launch since it deals with the foundation on which any application should stand.
but i hear that 70-100 is the most difficult and i'm somewhat discouraged about taking it first.
what do you think?
please convince me!

thanx

Although 70-100 is so called Analyzing Requierments and Defining Solution Architecture, the exam requirs you to defining solution architectures only. Somebody said that 70-100 is a kind of reading comprehension. It's exactly what the exam is. As I known, there're only 7 cases in which you'll meet 4 in your exams. So I think it's not a problem. To read some books about MSF ( Microsoft Solution Framework), get the general idea of the framework. You can pass it easily.
70-100 is my first cert exam, and my score is 823. So don't worry!
