Everyone here is complaining but and not doing anything about it? Have you written your congressmen or senator to complain about jobs going oversees? Have you done anything besides coming to a forum and fighting amongst each other. If you would put half the effort in doing something about your situation ,and quit finger pointing, you might see improvement. In the words of John F. Kennedy "My fellow Americans, ask not what your country can do for you: Ask what you can do for your country."

What, give up complaining and fighting??? What fun is that...

Seriously, you are right on the money Rex, action will get a lot more done than arguing about it. I have written several letters to my congressmen, still waiting for replies though.

Rex,

Pretty bold statements.
I vote. I email my Senators. My local Coucilman is one of my friends. I was a volunteer for the last election and will be for the upcoming one. I encourage my friends and co-workers to vote.

So my question to you is... who are you talking to?

Your on every political post ever on this site. Complaining about republicans this and republicans that. You can't ever offer any solutions but like to argue. You think that your a master (de)bater and that your the only one that is ever right. I think you are a big spaz. Now come back with something irrelevant about me and republicans because I don't give a rats a$$.

I like a good political debate like a fat kid loves cake.

I can't help it if the Republican leadership is terrible. Actually, I'm an Independent. I voted Republican in the last Sentate race. Now look at us.

I heard on the radio today that it has been 70 YEARS since a president has left office with negative job growth. In those 70 years, we have experienced worse recessions, worse wars, worse taxes, higher inflation, and less government spending.

I don't give baseless opinions. I list the facts, and base it off of those facts.

My solution is to vote out Bush. His lack of leadership (just like his dad) has led us into the crapper.

That is a problem with Bush, then, right? Not just republicans. As we have had a few republican presidents in the last 70 years.

It's hard to say, since this is the first time we have seen a Republican president with a Republican controlled Congress.

In the past, control has been split. This time it's all Republican.

Your selective listing of the facts constitutes a logical fallacy called "card stacking."

What you leave out is that many of the economic numbers are quite good, including growth, inflation, and the stock market. In addition, the administration has quietly worked to reverse the Clinton Administration's "strong dollar" policy, which greatly exacerbated the U.S. trade deficit and encouraged the trend of offshoring/nearshoring.

The fact that the U.S. economy is not generating jobs, despite the stellar growth numbers, hints at massive structural economic change occurring, change that the President, or Congress for that matter, has little control over.
