i have A+ and have proven my self to be capable and willing to do more than what is requerd to solve any problems i encounter.
so at the end of the day i would like any info from any one that may have any advice for me as to what exam or cdertification i should go for < looking for a certification i do not have to update every year > i have been told to do these certificates: red hat < RHCE > : and the cisco ccna : which certificate would be best or is needed or well payed.. the reason why im asking for help because i donot want to bond my self for say three or four years with a certificat that will be low payed at the end of the bond period.. help need ed asp..

whats better ccna or ccnp or ccie < as you can see this is the first time i have heard about cisco.. >

Well if you do the Cisco route, you will have to update your certs every several years. You may want to start with the CCNA then get the CCNP then CCIE. CCIE is the hardest of the three and the best paying. I don't know anything about RHCE or where things are going to be with RedHat in the next several years.

My suggestion is get a certification you will actually use. There is no use in getting Cisco certified if you won't be using it. The same goes for RHCE. You have to find out what's in demand in your area. Only you will know what pays well in Zimbabwe. We can't tell you that.
In America, the same job can pay $30,000 in Kansas, $70,000 in California, or $20,000 in Louisiana. It just depends on the demand in that area and the local economy.

Bottom line, you have to do your own research.

thanxs for the info

i recon it would be a waste of time and effort if i do courses i.e cisco ccnp or rhce.
i was wanting to know roughly how much a ccnp or ccna even a rhce would roughly be getting in other countrys other than african countrys. eg U.K : AUS : USA, to see if it would be worth advanceing my carrer in africa. < even though we can writte the exams here there isnt much room for practical experiance > looking at it from this point of veiw would it be better for ones carrer to fether a carrer in IT out of africa.

Based purely on certs, CCIE would be the most sought after, highest paying and most difficult to achieve. It has the highest failure rate.

CCIE would be worth your effort, will take sometime to complete. Most of us study for multiple certification but if you want to work toward one certification which will get you paid and keep you employed....

Think about what you would like to do too. Do you want to get into networking, or do you prefer working with servers, whether they be MS or Linux, or Solaris, etc.
What hardware & software do you work on, certs would be better backing up something you have experience with too.

Keep in mind that WHERE you go go is as important as what you will make and WHERE you go may cost more than another place. "Cost of living expenses" will rise or fall in different areas. An example of this is in California you can expect to pay approx. $700-$1200 for a one bedroom apartment. The same apartment can cost as little as $300-$700 in another area or country. I can only comment on the US as I have not priced living arrangements outside of the US. You may make a boat load of money in California, but you will also pay much higher COL (Cost Of Living) expenses here as well.

FYI...- car insurance, Property and auto registration are ridiculously high at this time here. If you have friends that can help wherever you wish to go, then that could really help you to adjust to the new environment as well.

Good luck!
