Hello everyone, I'm new to this forum. So nice to know you guys.
I'm a college freshman in Taiwan, Republic of China. I major in computer science and I'm really interested in IT-related information. I have MCSE 2003 on Security, MCDBA 2000, CCNA, CCDA, CIW security analyst and BS7799 Lead Auditor Certification. It's my goal to work in the States someday. It's simply out of my curiosity that what kind of jobs I can get in the States and how much I will be payed in the future... Can anyone give me some advice?

Thank you all guys.

You had no choice but to agree.

There is lots of work in the USA if you want to work for Tacos, many of the people you will be competing with for an MCSE type position will be willing to work for a free combo number one from the Taco Bell.

Stay in China. We'll be outsourcing our tech jobs to you shortly.

Histrionics aside, it looks like the tech industry is finally poised to start hiring again.

And it only took three and a half years.

Hey, the guy asked a legitimate question. The US bashing was a bit called for. Just answer the question, or keep it to yourselves.

Amazed, if you are ever interested in coming to the states and finding a job your best bet is to move to a location that is a hotbed for IT jobs. The usual places would be New York or California but another major hotbed for IT jobs is in Raleigh, NC. The Silicon Valley of the East Coast.

If you have a 4 year degree (I'm not sure how your university system works) you are assured to find a good paying job. You would be welcome to experience the American dream. Don't let anyone else tell you different

Amazed...If you are really interested in coming to the states from freakin china then y wouldn't you want to get into a student deal to study over here for awhile and see for yourself what USA is all about? good luck finding a job. Why would you want to leave your country though? I wouldnt want to leave mine. except for vacations and pillaging.

Some of you encourage me to go study or work in the States, and some of you said it's not a good idea. I appreciate all of your advices
The reason why I want to go to the States is because, generally speaking, the US is the leading country in the IT field. So many world class companies orginate and locate in the States now. I can't see any reason not to go to the States if I want to learn core technologies in the field of IT.
Find a job is easy, but find the job that you can have good development in the future is not that easy...and I guess I may have better chances in the IT leading country than in Taiwan now.
By the way, I believe, in any certain field, there's always jobs there, as long as you're excellent enough. And that's the certification and learning all about - to improve your ability and knowledge all the time- isn't it?
Thanks to all of you guys again!
