HI everyone !!!!

I would like some advice guys,
I live in Spain and i have 5 subjects left for finishing my 5 years degree in chemistry but I want to break into the IT area as I think i will have more chances for getting a job and I love computers.
My background in comps.... I know a bit of different things like programming, networking, SQL... and I have been working as help-desk for half a year for the firts Mobile company in Spain.
I want to take the A+ exams soon, in a couple of months and then...
Do u think it will give me good chances to start with the A+???? Which other cert. u recommend me after it??? CCNA???? another CompTia??? Microsoft ones???

Ohh by the way, I will not be working in Spain as in about 4/5 months I will go to Australia, so if any of u live over there, maybe u can tell me about the best choices

Thankssssssss a lot in advance!!!

I would definately think you will do more with a degree in chemistry than trying to get into IT. Without a CS/MIS IT related degree and any experience it will be tough. Even if the current climate was not what it is.

Sorry to dampen your spirits but its a reality. Besides I would imagine your degree and training would afford you many oppurtunities in the medical/health field. It is the number one field for growth.

Good luck.

you could try m$ sql certification if it is something you might want to gain employment doing.
