Hey guys, im new to the forum.

Anyways, i will be obtaining a four year degree in Computer Security Systems by spring next year. However, i will have some spare time to take and earn my MCSE.

I plan on working in the future to find vulnerabilities in networks and firewalls for businesses, and also apply access control methods.

Should I pursue the MCSE, so i gain the knowledge on implementing and running networks, or are there better IT certs to qualify my future outlook?

thanx for ur advice guys, looking forward to talking to you.

Hi Dimebolt, welcome to EN

I might look into Network + and Security + before the MCSE. Course, the more certs you get the better right? Won't hurt to have them on the 'ole resume.

As Winterwolf suggests, you may also want to consider some of the CompTIA stuff at some point for foundational information. However, I think the MCSE is a good one to get familiar with the OS you're most likely to have some dealing with in IT.
