I just started at University of Phoenix, I came with the forst 60 allready done. I was wondering which degree I should go for

BACHELOR OF SCIENCE IN E-BUSINESS

BACHELOR OF SCIENCE IN BUSINESS INFORMATION SYSTEMS

BACHELOR OF SCIENCE IN INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY

I am in the Information Technology one right now. I would like to get into the Project Management side or Administration. I really do not want to be doing any help desk related materials

I also plan on getting my Masters after this

i would say stay with the program you're currently in (BACHELOR OF SCIENCE IN INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY).

that's what i'd do!

Taqwus,

How do you like University of Phoenix?
I am thinking about enrolling in the BACHELOR OF SCIENCE IN INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY program also. What do you like/dislike about it?

Thanks

I am still in the first class Gen 300, Which teaches learning skills and team work
In 2 classes I have actually learned a lot of stuff
From the people I have talked with, they said it is good if you keep up with the class and great if you go a little further
The Tools for Teams book you get when you enroll has been invaluable to me so far
The only downside is if you end you with a bad team member
Out of my class there is about 5 teams and 2 teams I know of is haveing trouble with 1 of thier members
My dislikes is the smount of homework 8) you will be doing a 3+ page paper ever week with a 7+ page paper and a 15 min presentation due at the end of the semester, but I am learning a lot doing my homework

I say go for the Business Admin... esp E-Biz.

Sure... a business degree is a dime a dozen these days and most clerks at Radio Shack have them, but your certs and years of experience will carry you through the first half of your IT career further than the BS or BA. You need the biz exp. to carry you through the second half.

I would then couple that with a Masters in CIS or MIS.

OR

For those who insist on the IT degree, couple it with an MBA.

You need Biz experience to get into the upper crust of management, even as a Director, CIO or CTO.

Whichever path you choose, keep business in the back of your mind.

My two cents.

At the end of your career - everything is business.

however before you can reach there.. Technical area + business experience are good to know.

Take the on the you feel the most comfortable to access and success.

Good Luck
