Which one do you think is better for entry level? I really want to get into Network Security.

A+. This is more basic, and it contains stuff that you really should know.

Thanks, I figured that.... So Security plus should be next correct?

hydro, i would say do Network+ before security+ to get a basic understanding of networking. If you hope to achieve advanced certification in security, you will need to know a great deal more than what is covered in security+, and network+ will help you towards that goal.

Go for A+ and Network+ first. They will provide the background knowledge to pass Security+.

I am studying for the Security+ exam (just picked up Mike Meyer's Security+ Passport), and see that many topics are covered in the Network+, and to a lesser extent, A+ certs. I think it's worth building a foundation first with A+ and Network+.

Good Luck

Wildscribe, how do you like the Mike Meyer's Security+ passport so far? Do you think that you'll go with another source or two prior to attempting the exam?

both are entry level, but you need to know the PC before anything else - go for "A+"

What do you want to be? Security Professional or Security Auditor?
If you want to be a Security Professional, you should take the SANS certifications.
If you want to be a Security Auditor, you should take take the CISA or CISSP.
