| When companies tell you that you need to forward salary requirements, what exactly are they looking for? Is this a letter stating how much you made in your last position or how much you would like? I've got resumes and cover letters down but I'm not very clear on this aspect of it. Any thoughts?

| Or your employment pay salary history..
However, only less experience, small or non-IT firms ask for it. Or freelance job position.
Nothing personal... U get it, u get it.

| Be sure to put a range, so you won't be cut from the pack, just on one figure. You ca also total in your salary of your last job INCLUDING your benefit package's worth. best of luck. Jono | |

| ...has anyone aside from myself ever considered, "Negotiable"? Then in the interview ask them, "How much are you paying other people with my skills and experience?" If they force you to come up with a number, tell them you want what everyone else is making.
First person to spit out a hard number loses.

| A good tactic to answer the "What kind of salary are you looking for?" question, is to reply: "What salary range are you offering to the best candidate?" Range gives you more options and mentioning best candidate puts ou in agood light, implicitly saying you're him/her. Hope this helps!
