Author Spice up the resume a bit...

I don't seem to get any call backs on my resume so I thought I need to spice it up. The thing is, in college we never did any special projects or anything major, the instructor just read from a book and sent us home. Anyways, here is a part of the resume, if any of you remember when you were entry level and maybe can help me spice it up let me know.

Thanks.

Hey,
I think I have a decent resume for someone with no experiance looking for an entry level position. I've had a few calls on it, which is suprizing to say the least, I posted it on one job search website, a small one too. I'm not sure if I should cut and paste it or just give you a link to it (without blocking my name/# etc...). Alright I put the effort in and got rid of my name...

CVs these days for I.T end up in the rubbish. There are so many people wanting to get into I.T or will be be laid off. I.T is an unstable occupation. You can be hot one minute and unemployed the year after. Plus with globalisation you services are too expensive compared with say India and China. But blame the exchange rate for this. Get into teaching or nursing. Go where the demand is and avoid heartbreak.

Thats why I'm going to night school to bring up my highschool marks so I can head off to university and get a combined degree (a Bach. of CS and a Bach of Ed). I've spoken to my college profs, theres a need for Computer Science teachers so hey, seems like an idea at least.

Your resume looks pretty good. Don't think of changing from a field you love just because the current market's not right. Hang in there and follow what you love to do best. If it;s just money you're after, go with the seasonal flow of popular fields in demand, lke insurance security, teaching etc. Good luck anyway -- you'll do well. Jono
