| for me, it has always depended on resume and interview more...what good is a support engineer who can't interface with users?
If you live near a major city, and you're comfortable with a few platforms, with your certs and well worded resume you shouldn't have trouble landing a level I or II admin job

| It depends on many factors. However, in most sectors it is a tough one. DC and Northern VA areas would probably pay the most on the east coast, but elsewhere it is hard to grab anything.
I finally got a job, but wasn't what I wanted at all and the pay is a tad shabby. I am taking it, because I really don't have a choice and it is a year contract.
I can accept two different pay scales, one with benefits and less pay, or one without benefits and more pay. In other words I pay for my benefits, but at a reduced cost.
I have heard many different stories about wages. I believe many are not accurate at all.

| Mesen,If you're still in school, it might help to work P/T at a small business. It's not always about pay, and when you graduate, you'll be ahead of those complacent classmates of yours.
I also found that employers are looking for candidate stability, with over a year at one location. loyalty is always important.

Really, it depends on who is hiring for what.
Based on your present qualifications, I'd say you are ready for a level 1 or 2 admin job or some kind of consultant where you are installing networks, etc. What do you really want to do? If money is your concern, maybe you should look into contracting with another company like Accenture where you travel all the time. But, you have to decide what it is that will make you happy.
As far as money goes, it depends on where you live. I've seen desktop support people paid as little as $7.00 per hour and as much as $40-45K. Hell, I have a friend that lives in Seattle and works as a network tech and is making $65K. But that price would never fly here in NM.
If you are more specific, maybe more people can answer your questions. Just my $0.02 worth.
