Beginning package of $29,120 pa

Description:
Your primary duties will be to provide technical assistance over the phone to a wide range of home and corporate customers.
You must be well versed in internet applications, 56K modem issues and ADSL.
Qualities we are looking for:

- someone who is a great at problem solving
- organised and efficient
- someone able to work flexible hours
Preference will be given to applicants with:
- prior ISP help desk experience
- knowledge of LAN (Ethernet)
- knowledge of WAN (ISDN, Frame, DSL)
- knowledge of LINUX, MAC
- MCSE (networking)
- CCNA (minimum Semester 1 & 2)
This is an excellent entry level position into the IT field. Begin on a salary package (inclusive of super) of $29,120 pa. Skills based remuneration review every 6 months ensures the more you learn and contribute, the more you earn. | |

| I would go for it. That's more than I make right now, for a lot less knowledgable/demanding work. It sounds like they put value in training as well, so you will probably have a good opportunity for advancement. I know you have been out of work for a while now, so what do you have to lose by trying? The market is still tough, and anything in the field is a step in the right direction.  | |

| Take it... at least you are working... and the company could pay for additional training/certs to compensate for the low salary. As others have said it's less stressful looking for a job when you have one than the opposite. Besides you are also gaining experience. |
