| Some online university's are good, i do have some friends of a friend in the military and they are getting their degree's from some online university's they were told to go to for the military...
http://dir.yahoo.com/Education/Dist...d_Universities/
this is a link to all the online university's that are worth anything, and are accredited. Although some of these are iffy unless you have done your homework, like capella.edu they charge $1425 dollars PER CLASS, same with university of phoenix and others,,,
the university of strayer is the one my friend is going to, he's getting his AS degree i think.. one of their main campus's is in DC, and it's much cheaper than some of the bigger school's,,,
just make sure you do your homework on the school, call, search, do everything you can to make sure it's legit...
O,,, another of them is FSU, florida state university has a computer science BS completely online now, and that would be a good school although you will have to pay out of state fee's
but there are many choices on that link..
good luck and carry on with the education,
me, i think since i have a buddy already going, i'm going to strayer because he likes it and they have different ways you can go in the networking field, either, win2000, novell, or win NT,, it's a BS in computer networking...
i was first going to go to campbell university here by my home but, with work and all it would be hard to make that drive every night and plus they only offer a BS in computer science, and i have only had one programming class in my life, so that's not for me, and i don't want to go into the business thing with Info systems,,, so i have made my choice,,,,
get your BS in the boxer's
damn this was a long post

| If I was to go for a college degree online yes, but American accredited, would there be any peculiar restrictions or requirements being British and resident in Britain? | |

| You know, it's weird. A year and a half ago, people were downplaying online degrees, but now ton's of schools are getting into it. I was talking to my nephew (I'm showing my age) who lives in Denver. He said he just heard about an online degree program from Stanford.
With people's busy schedules, online degrees are gaining more acceptance.

| Online degrees ARE gaining in popularity and acceptance. i have been watching them for about 2 years now. @ years ago Univ of Pheonix was about the only one in the game. I only have an Associates degree, so by the time I finish a bachelor program, they will probably be as accepted as any other degree. The key is the school being accredited!!!!
Hopefully, the price will fall some too.
By the way, the Tennessee Board of Regents has an online degree worth looking into.....
