| I was hoping some of you could offer a little advice. I am constantly updating and changing my resume. I would greatly appreciate if you people could take a miniute and look at my resume and offer any suggestions.
Thanks. | |

| Be carefull about making absolute statements like "the most up to date technical and customer relation skills". I'd also be more specific in the "Hardware" section and put descriptions of former jobs in past tense instead of present. Do a quick spelling and punctuation check too.
Overall it looks like you have a good resume.

| ccieToBe, thanks for the advice. I actually had the jobs in past tense, but took the advice of another person to change it. I should have gone with my initial instinct. Thanks again. | |

| One of the better structured resumes I've seen on here.
Good luck! | |

| eric1971, thanks for the compliment. I was hoping for a few more responses, though. | |

| I do like the outlook of the resume.
People say to keep it to one page.
But what I've seen, two pages is good, if care to elaborate on your previous jobs situations and handlings.
Best of luck david | |

| Looks like you have alot of solid experience on this resume. I too use past tense for jobs in the PAST. Nice bio about yourself at the top. not sure about the Tech summary. Seems very general. Also I have had good success using paragraphs when detailing my job duties. | |

| Looks better than mine. I was told that it is a good idea to sort of highlight your skills by saying what you did or what you accomplished for a compnay rather than just listing software/hardware used though. I tried to do that on mine. | |

| nice resume but there are a few things I would change (not content but layout)
just my personal preferences and I'm no hiring manager
I like to have all my headings left justified and a litte outside the margin and bigger than any other text on the page (where you have em centered and the same size font) maybe bold em too (looks better to me)
and
Reset NT 4.0 passwords through the use of NT User Manager (I would change this to Managed NT/2K User and Group Settings) or something similar changing passwords just doesn't sound all that hard and if you make it sound like you actually had to think a little it might be a little better
Install LAN and desktop printers(maybe Setup and support print services for medium size network)
Reset Novell and Windows NT passwords using NT User Manager and Novell NetWare Administrator and Additional LAN Admin. Tasks such as granting rights, adding to groups
can be grouped together maybe
Set user and group policies in NT/Netware environment right under that i'd put
Including but not limited to granting rights, setting passwords, and adding new users (whatever you did here)
and maybe in your technical summary put how good you are in the various subjects like
• Windows 95/98/NT/2000- expert
• Novel 4 NetAdmin- moderate
• MS Office 97/2000- expert
• MS Outlook 97/2000
• MS Internet Explorer
• Netscape
• Lotus Notes 5.0
just a few ideas and maybe they're not all good ones but anything is worth a shot (just don't lie, they can always tell when you lie the first week or so) it's ok to embellish a little as long as you have the skills to back it up (so what if you didn't really do it at your job or did very little of it the thing is can you do it)
