Im Just curious how many people in here are veternas and are able to use their GI Bill for accelerated schools. schools which offer the courses in 6 months. and not junior colleges or institutes that offer the entire course in over a years time. Ive noticed in my area there are no accelerated schools that meet VA approval. please give me your thoughts to this matter. wehter there for CCNA, MCSE, Comptia or any other vendor certification.

Thanks

I have a friend that's getting his MCSE funded somehow through the VA. I'll find out more info from him & let you know.

I don't remember if it was a boot camp, a training school, or what?

Let the expert to answer this question:

G.I.Bill and reimbursement from VA are two different type of benefit.

For G.I.Bill, as long as u sign up for it.
U will get it. Go to your unit S1. They will help u.

For Certification reimbursement:

Only if u had Active duty before, then u are eligible for the Certification reimbursement.

NG and AR not

Well Im not looking for assistance in getting information on how to use the GI Bill, I'm wondering who here has the ability to use it and who has been able to use it at accelerated training schools. Schools that offer a course in 5 days to a suite of them in 6 months. as opposed to a junior college who can offer the courses in a period covering over a year and a half. from what im seeing (at least in my area) is that accelerated schools aren't applying for the approval or they arent getting the approval. Im just curious if anyone has found an accelerated school that is approved. in my case I took the courses at an accelerated school after leaving the military, and no schools were VA approved except the junior college. since im a career changer I didnt want to wait a year and a half to get the certifications. I wanted to get back on my feet as soon as possible. But in making that move I expended $10,000 for the training with no reimbursement from the GI Bill. I'd like to see more of the accelerated schools approved for the GI Bill so future vets can take advantage of the fast paced training and get on there feets as well when changing careers.

What is your status? ETS soon!

Please specific what kind of accelerated school! 5 day crack course mean nothing.

I don't believe any accelerated school unless you are efficient on your skill. Otherwise, u still learn nothing!

Think! Few days for a change!

It take the Army how many year to develope a new tank, weapons, and system! But still mess up at the end.

I have taight at a facility that allows students to use their GI Bill for a track.
Our track ran for 6 months (days) and 9 months (nights). The track included A+, N+, Linux+ and MCSE.

I have used my gi bill benefits for accelerated schools. They have to be on the list of accepted schools provided by the VA if not they need to submit the paper work to the local VA office. Your State VA rep should have a list of accepted schools. VA will also reimburst you on cert test regardless if you pass or fail.
