Haven't really discussed the pay, the bossman said it'll get better when school is out. It's not much but it's a start.

I'm sure you'll do well. I wouldn't worry about the money just yet. While you're proving your worth you'll be getting the experience you need to earn more. Best of luck to you.

Congrats,
Good time for you to get a shot. You do that whole MCSE without any real exp....well...most people have an extremely difficult time that way.A lot of people move up from being a tech..into the good stuff.Thats the better route..

Good Luck.

Way to go!!!

Dont dwell on where you want to end up. No matter what happens, remember how psyched you are right now that you have this job -- and excell at it.

Well, you land a job, which is awesome, and I lose one. Yeah, I am now on the unemployment line. But not for too long I hope. Knew this was coming, just wasn't sure when, so I had already been seeding for jobs. Already have 3 recuriters vying for me! With luck I will be working again in the next two weeks!(Keep your fingers crossed!)

It looks like your certifications helped get you your job. Which shows you really earned it yourself, that was no handout.

I recently earned my MCSD after two years in the industry... And my pay just increased by 50% (when I switched jobs). I am finishing an MCDBA now, and I only expect to be in demand more. When you have enough experience and certs, companies and recruiters call you (from web site postings), not the other way around. And that makes all the difference in the world when you negotiate pay for your job. I am speaking from experience on this point...

Don't you list them on rour resume?
And, didn't you give them your resume before getting the job?
