Hi

I read in this forum that a plumber is making 80000-12000 pounds per year in UK.

How about your place.

Here in Singapore, their hourly pay is higher than that of an IT 'professional'.

plumers make from 25-80 per hour. that is one job that will still pay even when the $h!t hits the fan...lol

the best plumbers in uk are self-employed. sure you can charge £20+, but if you work for somebody else you just get £10k a year.

With that kind of pay who cares if you're digging ditches?

Let me say it again for those who don't quite catch on - a plumber in the UK can earn a great deal of money.

I was talking to a postman on a train from Victoria station tonight (as one does ) Anyway, he wanted a new bath and the industry recognised plumbers were asking £3000. He shopped around and got a deal for £800. Since the bath and materials cost £400 and since the work took 2 days that was £200 per day (or about $300/day)

So what's wrong with being a plumber? Having to put up with those people who only earn £200 a day I guess.
