Two years IT experience/Working towards MCSE/What job to look for?

| Hi all, i'm new here.
Just wanted to know what everyone thinks about this, because i'm having a really tought time deciding what I want/can do at this point in my career.
A little bit of background about myself:
I went to college for 2 years taking Comp Sci courses..
Then went to technical institute and graduated with a degree in "Network Engineering and Data Communications"
Then I worked for about 2 years, doing Helpdesk/Desktop support (mainly helpdesk)
And now I'm going to MCSE 2000 school (already MCP)..
I want to stick to networking, and I want to get away from the phones (as far as possible )..
But I don't think I can get a Network Admin position (although I'd like to)
And I really need our help here.. I'm applying for some positions now but I'm kinda lost because I don't know what to shoot for..
Any help would be appriciate it..
Thanks in advance. | |

| Network technician might be a job to look for. Also perhaps "junior sys admin" might be something to look for -- a sort of apprentice to a more senior administrator. Keep trying for your MCSE as it will give you something else to bargain with. | |

| Well you've got that 2 years experience rule that everyone seems to be asking for i would say that you should emphasize on your various duties , what systems , software problems you had to deal with , how many users etc.
good luck and all | |

| Heh, yes you're right about the 2 year "rule".. but I just don't know what to shoot for.. but I know I don't want to do helpdesk, and I wanted to skip desktop support..
And it's not like I have a whole lot of options.. I'm like stuck in betwen helpdesk and network admin.. |
