| What certification do I need to become a network security specialist. I would like to see myself able to secure both LAN and WAN.
Thanks,
Marie | |

| Depends. CIW has some security certs I think so you may want to look into that. Cisco deals directly with WAn support so some of their certs may be a step in the right direction. | |

| What about checkpoint? I'll be doing that in couple weeks, taking a trip to Toronto to get trained, than write CCSA and CCSE. | |
|
| Hi,
I would rather go with Cisco because I heard some negative stuff about CIW.
What is CCSA and CCSE?
Thanks,
Marie | |

| They are
Check Point Certified Security Administrator
Check Point Certified Security Engineer
http://www.checkpoint.com/services/...tion/index.html
Cisco also offering a new program, too.
Also, u can try ISC
But Security knowledge is build by experience not by certified. |
