| Ive been unsuccesful in my job search in LA, California. Im A+, Network+, and a MCSE. The only experience I have is a end user for 3 years, troubleshooting my own problems with my desktop. Does anyone have any tips on my job search, or is LA just saturated with IT help? Any suggestions would be appreciated, Thanks. | |

| Not that I'll be much help seeing as my own search is going rough, but.... I imagine LA being a larger city like T.O. must have lots of I.T. opportunities. Are you using any job search boards, like Monster.com... or what? Look for entry level Helpdesk positions. they'll love a candidate with your certs. Helpdesks here include Companies like: Symantec/IBM/HP/ATI/Yamaha
There has to be some very large Helpdesk environments in the LA area.
Hope this is some help or inspiration etc.

| Dude,
Post your resume online. Put it up on Monster and 'refresh' it every day and you will get calls... especially in California. I had a Bio/Chem degree and switched in 2 months after getting my MCSE & CCNA. I was offered a job with a gov. contractor with great benefits for 35k to start. It's basically a help desk/support position but I'm working on my CCNP now which will hopefully lead to bigger and better things shortly. Good luck.

| That is a very good suggestion and one I have used recently.

| That can't be! L.A is a big city. Did u place your resume online?
I know $$$ is the problem for many people. Keep searching, don't quit now.
Good luck |
