I am currenty an MCP in Win2k and NT 4.0 (both workstation).
My question is how would one show this on their resume or e-mail (under name) as tech credentials.

MCP?
MCP NT 4.0/2000?
or other?

Also how do I change my username on this forum. Did not see any option.
Do I have to delete and creat a new account?

Reason is I just notice a user on this forum has "username" I'm using username 1.0 which is a coincidence. Really.

Thanks,

To edit your profile, click on the "Profile" link on the top of the page. It will take you to a page where you can select "Edit Profile".

As for listing a cert it depends on the situation. If you want to list it under your name on an email that is used at work, probably just "MCP" would be fine. If you're in IT, most of the employees outside of the IT department where you work won't have any idea what MCP means, much less "NT", "4.0" or, "W2K", and if anyone asks you can inform them. On a resume, most prospective IT managers should know what "MCP NT 4.0/W2K" means. (If they don't what are they doing in IT?) However, the HR manager that gets the resume first may not have any idea what the acronym "MCP" means, and instead be looking for key words like "Microsoft", "Windows 2000", etc..

I list my certs on my resume as similarly to what is shown below.:

Microsoft:

Microsoft Certified Professional
- Windows 95
- Windows 98
- Windows NT Workstation 4.0

CompTIA:

A+
Network+
Server+

Of course, you can use bold or italic text, bullets, and other formatting to make the listing more visually appealing. Obviously, it takes up more room on the, so you may have to do some organizing to keep from have a two page resume with only two lines at the top of the second page (not always an appealing look).
