My wife wants to take the Cert for word but she says she doesn't know which one. There seems to be several and she is confused. Can anyone shed some light on the Certs?
Word 2000, 2002 and so on....
Thanks

From all I hear there is really one 2 for Word. Which is she after 97 or 2000 or 2002.

There is the MOUS - Regulare one and then an EXPERT one. There is also a test for MOUS CT which is someone who is certified to teach MOUS courses. Go MS for wanting more money But that's what I know of so far, my school offers it, but I only took the 2k MOus for Access which does NOT have an expert level. Check on the MS site for the MOUS procedures, if you need help finding it, just say so and I will post what I know.

I found out the difference.

MOUS is for Office 2000 while MOS has been renamed to current for Office XP.

You will fine a lot of self-study books for Office 2000 with MOUS title.

Same thing for MOS study guides for Office XP.

Hope this helps and Good Luck!!!

It's not a waste. I have known people to get raises for this. Not just that, there are companies that will hire on the basis that you took the time to not just learn, but get certified. And with that knowledge they won't question your knowledge of the Office Suite. There are even those who feel that the Comptia's and the Microsoft, and Novell certs as well as Cisco are just a waste of time and money. It's up to you on how far you wish to take your training.

It's simply a matter of what you want.
