Hello All!

Well I went for my job interview last Thursday. I found out that 198 people had applied for the job and that of those 198, 16 had been called for interviews.

A little over an hour ago I received another phone call from the same place. It seems that they liked me. They want me to come back Wednesday this week and spend a couple of hours with their resident network technician to see if we can get along and are compatible. After this they said that they would make their decision and told me things looked positive for me.

What a rush! I've been out of school now for two weeks and maybe just maybe have a job lined up. To say that I'm stoked is an understatement. *L* Keep your fingers crossed for me. Starting pay is $11/hr with 5 weeks vacation.

A very hopefull!

Benefits here in Sweden are pretty good. You get as many sick days as needed, however you do not get paid for the first day you are sick, the rest are compensated for.

Holidays....geeez it seems like there's thousands of them in Sweden with pay of course...I think that I can easily say we have probably 10 more holidays a year here in Sweden than in the states.

If you child is sick you can be at home with the child and still be paid 80% of your wages. The best part being that you are not penalized because you have to be home to take care of your child.

Dental and Medical...well that's also different in Sweden. You pay let's say it's like $150 total during a year for doctor's visits and the rest is covered. Hospital stays are free as are necessary surgeries. Cosmetic stuff you have to pay for. It's the same with dental...you pay to a certain level and then the rest is free. This also includes prescription meds.

Plus the 5 weeks of paid vacation mentioned earlier. It's no so bad all in all. Now just let me get the job!
