Market is slow in DC/Metro area.

Are women more likely to be laidoff than men despite good performance, experience and certifications?

depends on pay...

On the average, since women tend to earn less than men in most any field (largely due to the amount of time in the field because of child rearing), I would say they would hold on to women on the bottom line, if they earn less for the same job than the man.
