Author Thesaurus problem...

I was hoping someone might have heard of this issue and be able to help. One of the workstations at our office was having issues with the word 97 merge function, so we ran an "office repair" on it. Since that time, this person has lost all information within her thesaurus function, ie; if she types the word help and does a look up, the feature comes up completly empty. She would like it restored back to the original way. She does not want office reinstalled if at all possible because she has her toolbars, etc. any ideas?

whit311,
Go to the site below for Tips & Tricks on MS Office. If you can't find help here let me know and I'll do some research on some of my older help web sites.

Whit311,
Remeber you can also just install the component indiviually and it will not effect any of your toolbars, icons, etc...

Install or remove individual components

If you originally installed Word from a network file server or from a shared folder, run that copy of the Setup program.

1 Close all programs.
2 Click the Windows Start button, point to Settings, and then click Control Panel.
3 Double-click the Add/Remove Programs icon .
4 If you installed Word by using the Office Setup program, click Microsoft Office on the Install/Uninstall tab, and then click Add/Remove.

If you installed Word individually, click Word on the Install/Uninstall tab, and then click Add/Remove.

5 Follow the instructions on the screen.
