I just gave my word 2002 expert exam & I failed by a few marks as my Using Mail Merge shows percent 0%, now this is not possible as I have been using Mail Merge from sometime.
I will appreciate if someone could help me here. During the exam the ask you the Merge a Word Document i.e COngratulations with a excel file i.e Winners.xls. When you reach step 4 & insert the mail merge field "Address Block", are we supposed to just leave it here or complete the entire mail merge upto step 6 & merge it to a new document. SOMEONE PLEASE HELP, as I have scheduled my exam for next week again.

Hello
On May 13 I passed my Word Expert Exam. This was my first MOS Certification. My score was 771.
I have 0% on Mail Merge... I have completed all the tasks. And don't know why I have 0% . Maybe if you are not asked to complete the mail merge, you should not do it.
On customizing tables my score was 33%. The SUM function didn't work at all. No explanation.

My advice: Pay attention to the details. And if you complete the other tasks, you can pass the test.

Here is my Section analysis, in percent, from 1 to 7

67, 92, 33, 80,67, 88, 0.

Good luck

I guess u r right, we should not complete the merge, & also I got 33% in customizing tables, same problem with the formula part & also I had used the undo action while sorting the table, I wonder if that was also taken as a minus point, becaz the instructor told me not to use the reset button for any question as she said that alot of times all the questions have been resetted.

I can't figure out why the formula part of Word is little bit crazy In normal life it is calculating correct, but on tests something is wrong.
As for the resset button. It takes appr. 5 seconds tho reset the question and to start on clean task. I have used it in Excel, PowerPoint, Access exams... but just when there is no other way. Using Undo is no problem at all. You need to complete correct certain task, and the way of doing it is not important.
Be careful and you will pass word. After it try Excel, then Access, and Powerpoint. Place Outlook at the end.
Good luck and let me know what happend in your test.
P.S. 100% the questions will be the same.
