Anyone know how soon we might expect them to start offering MOS 2003 exams? I'm thinking of waiting on taking my other exams for the Master Instructor and wait do that for 2003. Why pay twice and not be certified on the latest version. Thoughts?

If are teaching a previous version of Office, it would be a good idea to get both Master Instructor certifications.

If you are/will be teaching Office 2003, then it would probably be a good idea to skip previous certifications and try for Office 2003.

Good luck!

Thanks Bob. Most businesses are not going to go to 2003 anytime soon, so I would probably be well served to get 02 and 03. Not going to bother with anything before XP.

Hi sgrho1:

You are probably right about Office 2003 adoption.

Good luck on your tests

Actually, many businesses are just skipping XP altogehter and will evenutally go to 2003. Most companies, especially smaller ones, can't upgrade every year. Too much money. Most small companies still have Office 2000. Then they are skipping XP and will upgrade directly to 2003.

I also think Microsoft missed a big market share by offering these versions way too early.

Mathematically, it is possible to update using three versions of office in just four years. That is not economically feasible to most businesses. Having to keep training on new software all the time.

To me, Office XP should be coming out about now. Now, we have four versions of office out there. 97, 2000, XP, and 2003. Makes for mass confusion if you ask me. But then again, I am not the billionaire, so I must be wrong LOL LOL.

Yet another good point. But again solidfies my decision to go XP and 03 Master. I'm thinking at start up those that will upgrade to 03 will look for more training and I have to think about my bottom line $$$$
