Hi,

I have a problem using my Microsoft Word program. Whenever I start my program and open a new document a previous document that was saved before comes up. I tried to uninstall the whole office program and reinstalled again but still the same file comes up whenever I open a new document. Is there any way anybody can help me out?

First, check the Startup folder to be sure it is empty (go to Tools > Options > File Locations to get the right path). If it is, try doing a search for normal.dot, renaming it to normal.old, then rebooting and reopening Word. Word uses normal.dot on start up to create a new, blank document. Renaming normal.dot will force Word to recreate the normal.dot file. I'd also make sure I did an updated virus scan to check for Word macro viruses.
