| I have used this Certiport CD.
Good Points:
1. Covers all objectives
2. Works even if the user does not have Office installed on computer.
Bad Points:
1. Office not really running.
2. If you don't do something a particular way, it counts you wrong.
3. Tasks must be completed a particular way which is not consistent with real test

| I agree with Pat563 good points and bad points.
I found the cert prep cd's useful because they covered information that was on the test that wasn't covered in my course.
The practice tests are similiar to the actual tests, better than the multiple choice ones you find on-line.
I did Excel expert last Friday and if you know your stuff it's not bad. I've been told it's the hardest of all the Mous tests.
Good luck! | |

| I've already ordered this cd and would like to use it to prepare for the rest of the 4 modules ie word expert, access, powerpoint & outlook. I've already done excel expert which was a piece of cake hope the rest of the modules too are easy. | |

| certiports cd is ok but its not great as other folks in the forum have pointed out. It doesn't always allow marks for answering the question in a different way than expected. Also it only asks you to carry out one objective per question, this is very misleading as the mous exams can ask you to carry out up to 3 objectives per question, I think this can be misleading to people using this cd alone as their prep for the exam.
I have tried out the DDC Publishing Software, it is excellent but pricy, if you download the evaluation,(works for limited time) go through all the tests, find out what your weak levels are, then work on them, before your trial period runs out.
Anyways good luck | |

| By the way
Would like to add , that yes, excel expert is about as difficult as you will find on the Mous tests , if you can handle that , then your well set.
I will have to start thinking about what i want to do next, you never know , i might just call on you for your assistance lol
Good luck folks in any future exams

| I used Certiport's CD to prepare for my MOUS exams. I found that they were very useful, and well worth the $20 pricetag. They cover all of the 2000 and XP tests, so you can use the same CD again and again. They do mark certain things wrong that would be correct on the real test, but they do cover all exam objectives well. They also mirror the real test, so you can get a good idea of what to expect. A hint of caution though, keep taking the practice test and reviewing until you can get almost all of the questions correct.
On the Office 2000 track, Excel Expert is definitely the hardest of all the exams!

| I borrowed the certipoint Cd from school. I found that after the 2nd time through I had all the questions memorized. The third time I took the word Xp prep I finished in 15min with 98% correct. I used just that Cd and the notes from this site to prepare and I passed Word XP expert and Powerpoint comprehesive XP on the first try so far. But I agree that you shouldn't rely on that CD as an estimate of how you will do on the real test. I thought the real thing was harder than the Certipoint preps led you to believe. |
