| Hi everyone,
I am thinking of doing the MOUS Master and would like to start off with Excel and Excel Expert. I just have 2 questions.
1) Is there a place where I can get DATA to practice with? I would like to practice on some data but I don't have data that conveniently includes ALL the topics for the exam and I don't want to waste too much time CREATING practice data.
2) Does the test include categories that are not part of the DEFAULT installation? For example: do I have to just know how to import simple text or would I have to be able to use the TEXT IMPORT WIZARD. One of the categories is importing data, if I want to use the TEXT IMPORT WIZARD on my computer I would have to get the disk out and install it.
These questions are not really limited to Excel since I plan on taking more. Any suggestions or comments would be appreciated on any of the exams.
Thanks. | |

| I used the Course Technology Thompson Learning New Perspectives Books which have premade data bases and documents. They are fairly pricey at $50-$60 but very comprehensive. The books say their website is www.course.com/NewPerspectives. I didn't take the core excel or word tests; just the expert tests. Course Technology has a test simulation called SAM2000 that more than covers all the tasks you will be expected to perform. If I remember correctly the access and powerpoint tests wanted you to use wizards. I think the excel expert test has 2 or 3 questions on transfering data between applications. | |
