Is Expert really that different?

| Hi!
I was wondering if the Expert exam was really that much different than the Core exam? I've read in earlier posts that the Expert exam has different objectives, etc. and I went ahead and purchased the Complete Reference Word 2000 which seems really good since it gives objectives on what to focus on for the exams.
I am pretty familiar with Word, but was wondering how much different could the Expert exam be in comparison to the Core?
I've thought about taking the Core exam just to get familiar with the exam format. Would that be a good idea? Thanks.

| Hi,
I wrote the core exams for MOUS, but my assistant wrote the core for Word and then attempted the Expert.
On the Core she scored 97%, on the Expert she failed and was in tears when she finished the exam.
Some people get through the Expert exams easily - but I think trying the Core first to get a feel for the exams is probably a good idea.

| Expert is different in that the applications are more in depth. If you want the objectives, just go to mous.net and click on the requirements for MOUS. Then click on the program you are taking. A list of objectives will show everything that will be on the exam. | |
