| I'm finally taking the powerpoint test on Friday, but I just wanted to know a few more things about the test. I think you are given 1 hour to complete the test, but you are also given a leeway of 20 minutes to read the questions. What exactly does that mean? Does that mean you can read the question for a few minutes and then when you start the task the clock starts? Do you have to memorize the tasks of the questions before you start or can you look back at the queston for reference on what to do? I know that some questions ask you to do multiple tasks in one question, but will the question be there for reference or will it go away when you start your answer. | |

| Hi Manny:
You are given time to read the instructions at the beginning of the exam, and the exam doesn't start until you click the "start test" button.
Then for each question, you will receive an instruction on the screen for what you are supposed to do to the document. You have time to read this instruction, and the timer does not restart until you click your mouse. At that time the instruction moves to the bottom of your screen. If at any time you need to see the instruction again, you only need to click on its button, and it will be visible on the screen again.
Be very careful to read which button you are clicking on. The "instruction", "next" and "end test" buttons are fairly close together.
Also, do not click next until you are confident that you have completed the question, because you can not go back and change your answers in the MOUS exams.
Oh, and make sure not to close the windows. You have to leave your answer visible on the screen.
Actually, you might benefit from reading over this: http://www.examnotes.net/MOUS/
It has a lot of helpful advice for writing the MOUS exams.
