| I am going to have to retake the written exam, my time is almost up and I am of course not ready for the lab.
So the test has changed since I have taken it. Can someone suggest a few of the latest books for the new test? Or should I just pull out my Doyle books like before?

You should study IPv6 (Cisco Press has a book) and wireless (I didn't find any good study material for this). Cisco Press has a book with flashcards and review that is for the current exam.
FYI, I took, and passed, the exam yesterday.

| I have the Flash Cards written by Anthony Sequeria and Kevin Wallace. But I have seen some bad reviews about this.
What resources did you use to pass? Congrats by the way.

The flashcards book is good review, but don't expect to pass the test on it. I really just went through the blueprint and figured out what I needed to work on. I hunted for information on the specific topics. Internetwork experts has some good links, and I spent a lot of time on the Cisco site. Other than that, I used everything I have learned for all the other Cisco tests I have taken, except MPLS. QoS was pretty big, but the Cisco Press book on the 642-642 test is all you need. |
