Cisco VPN issues, dropping vpn

| I have a couple dozen remote sites with PIX501's that VPN into a 3000 series VPN concentrator. For the most part this has worked flawlessly with the exception of once in a while a couple of the sites lose their VPN connection and the only way we can get them back online is to reload the remote 501 firewalls. I have tried to do some research but have not come up with anything as of yet. I was hoping someone out there might have had a similar issue.
Any help would be appreciated. If there is more info I could give please let me know. Thanks in advance. | |

| hi,
1. do you run pix os 6.3.3?
2. do you run pppoe on the devices with the problems?
then change the pix os to 6.3.4. i can give you the bug id if you want. somethimes when the pppoe session terminates (24h disconnect in germany) the ppoe session doesn´t start any more.

| Actually 6.3.1 but no PPPOE. They are static T1 locations. | |

| Hi,
well we had that problem with pppoe hum. you should try to upgrade to the latest version before you open a tac case. because thats the first thing the tac will tell you to do
