I heard recently from a CCIE candidate that using 2 CISCO UBR924 cable "routers" with their built-in VOIP module is a cheap VOIP addition to a CCIE lab? Any truth to this? Sounds reasonable. I have found them on ebay for 2 of them for about $100 US.

Is this indirect advertisement for Ebay?

Sorry,

This is definitely NOT an Ad for EBAY. I am sure they can do that themselves. It was just an attempt to share some valuable information to fellow examnoter on VOIP on a budget.

Equipment is very expensive for most of us and there are answers out there to address it. Please take some time and contribute to answering some of questions on this matter. Sharing information empowers you and those whom you share it with.

Bill,

I got all of my routers off eBay, and this is not an advertisement.

Actually if you think of building a home lab. I don't think you have any other choice to where to get the equipment from, unless you are a Cisco employee entitled for special discounts.

Jane.. I hate indirect ads may be more than you do. But, I don't think this is one of those ads. Do you know of any other store beside eBay I can get competitive prices from?

Try www.craigslist.org. Just an answer Jane, not an advertisement.

Mosam I saw a 2501 on this site for $125, in SF. I am in search for a cheap isdn simulator; $400 or less and more on the less.

Good Luck.
