Hey Bro -

Believe it or not; there are no exam requirements needed to register for the CCIE 350-001 qualification exam. As you probably know, passing this does not make one CCIE, only qualifies you for an even bigger test - THE LAB ! Cisco strongly recommends the CCNP/CCDP track for preparation for CCIE Written.

My personal experience with it is: I am both CCNP and CCDP, been doing networking for about 6 years and I am still having to study my *** off for the CCIE written.

Having a passion and enthusiasm for Cisco and Networking has greatly helped.

You gotta love what you do . . .

Great luck,

Justin

dear all

these days i find a lot of people including college freshers studying for CCIE!, i really find it hard to digest, why is it so?
i am studying for CCNP now and CCIE maybe after 1 year.
I think people have at last realised how to crack the CCIE lab, i feel CCIE's will grow exponentially, i guess we have to stop thinking CCIE as THE EXAM and say it is just another exam. right?

Hey peeps

I thought about taking the Cisco track, but isn't it very expensive to get equipment for hands-on training? It's not everyday that I have access to real, working equipment. Thanks!!

Hi,

I would highly recommend to shoot for CCNP and CCDP first before going through CCIE. CCIE is a serious test and needs some extensive hands-on experience.

Anyways, you need to pass a qualification test first before shooting for the lab. Then once you pass the lab, you become a CCIE.. It should be that simple..
