Whooah - good intention for New Year's Resolution. Do you think you'll stick with it Go on be honest.

Go on dood and good luck !

Don't forget to come back and tell us how you got on.

I bet you'll be as sick as a parrot if you're going to spend 4 hours of your free time every day.

better add either netmaster or cyscoexpert
to that list unless you're going to try the
lab 3 times in that 9 months

I agree with Darthface without diagram labs to study with you are going into the hands on portion blind-fold and will most likely fail. You need at least a minimum of 100 hrs behind 4-8 routers/switches testing and configuring different topologies to get a feel for what its like. I am schedule for the lab portion in RTP on May 28,2003 and hopefully I will earn my number on the first try. I will post my method of on how to pass the one-day lab as well. So look forward to my posting in the coming months. See ya in the LAB.

i'd also add getting on groupstudy's ccie lab list and you'll get a real feel for how people are passing the lab.
people are rushing into it and passing on
3rd and fourth attempts.

good luck lcooper

i have to try by 6/12/03 or retake the written.

I spend 3-4 hours a day after work studying. I've finally quit fighting it, I am a geek.

No, that's not true. It's more like 9 months.

I just checked, you can get San Jose through til feb and after that not until June.

After that it's pretty free.

Hi Darthfeces,

Here's the link.

http://tools.cisco.com/CCIE/Schedule_Lab/jsp/login.jsp

I had a quick look, seat available at RTP Jan, Feb and then June just like San Jose.

Why don't you just book a date, you can cancel it at no cost upto one month before - probably explaining all the Jan/Feb dates.

It depends on where you want to book it. I think the wait is generally shorter than R&S, but there are fewer places you can take it at.

It was about 5 or 6 months last I looked. If you're ready, you can almost always find dates about 32 days out as people cancel them. My date on 1/30 may still be open...
