All,

I am taking the written test on Thursday. Any last minute advice from anyone who has already done it. I have studied, I have experience and I feel that I am ready. Just wondering if anyone had any last minute advice or specific things to focus on for my last minute studying. Thanks.

Hi,

I see many warnings about Token Ring, RIFs, and Bridging on the CCIE Written.

A few memory-joggers:

1. What does RII=0 mean?
2. How long is the RIF RC field?
3. Valid RIF: 0630 001A 002B 003C 0040 ?
4. Compare RSRB to DLSW+?
5. How to bridge Ethernet to TokenRing?
6. When do SRB segments have duplicate MACs?
7. When do Transparent Bridge segments have duplicate MACs?
8. What do "Explorer Firewalls" work?
9. How are redundant links removed in TR?
10. How does TR allow every station to talk?

Cheers,
Ron

Know Token Ring and definately understand RIF, know how to convert ethernet mac to token ring mac.

I guess they might take out token ring for the new version. Since you will take it next week, you will still see a lot of those TR questions.

good luck !
