in the r&S it mentions no more ATM lane, does this mean i don't have to worry about ATM.

The following topics have been removed from the lab exam content:

LAT
DECnet
Apollo
Banyan VINES
ISO CLNS
XNS
ATM LANE
X.25
Appletalk

You will still need to know the following : -

PVC
SVC
Classical IP

Make sure you use up-to-date info for PVC etc. For example, you will get no marks for ATM if you use 'map-groups' - as shown in the recently released 'CCIE Practical Studies'.
