| I have 3 months till school starts up and was thinking of adding a little CCIE studying in. I started out with the goal of CCIE but have since decided to go back to school. I would like to know what and if there is an expiration on the CCIE written. So once I take it do I have to take the CCIE lab within a certain time frame?
And for those of you who have passed do you feel that after passing CCIE written you are ready for the lab or is do you need to study for another 1-2-3-4 months afterwards..
Just curious, thanks for the input.

if you don't pass by then bill gates will hire you
and brainwash you personally. | |

The written is cake. The lab is not. But the lab is also based a whole lot more on practical experience than the written. I guess the short answer is that knowing enough to pass the written is not sufficient to pass the lab by any stretch of the imagination. You have to study for however long it takes you to learn everything covered in the lab. For some people that's about a weekend's worth of work, but not for most.
