| hello to everyone,
I find myself in a puzzling situation.
I am intern in the MIS department of a law firm in nyc.I have just finished my ccnp track and wondering outload and looking for advice.
I cant seem to find a paying job in the IT field, despite 6 months as an intern in the MIS department and the following certs: A+,MCSE NT/2000, Exchange 2000,XP
CCNA,CCDA,CCNP,CCDP and Checkpoint CCSA 2000.I have 8 routers, 3 2501,1 2522,2 2520,2 2504's and 1 1900 switch(all with enteprise ios's and max memory)
Would the CCIE help me find a job, even though , I cant seem to get a help desk position in NYC??
Is it the bad economy?
My manager says just keep studying and trying.
Can the CCIE put me over the hump, in regards to getting a job that pays in the IT field? | |

Maybe it's time that you have to do something different for yourself. Sometimes, the worst time in our lives is actually the beginning of new things. I know this phrase long time ago, "Now is as good as any other time, it all depends on what we do with it." My advice to you is, DON'T give up. Go for your CCIE. Keep looking for the best. Don't settle for less. Be strong and stay positive. Continue stay on top. Take advantage of every single opportunity. Maybe, this is an opprotunity for you to start your own business. Getting another job eventually put us back to square one. I wish you all the best. | |

| I agree with what Timi said-dont give up and stay positive.
Also work toward the ccie if you can but find something else-Diversity they say is the spice of life.
I believe that things will pick up faster than we think.
