Hi, everyone..

I want to start preparing for my CCIE Written and I plan on taking it by December. Any suggestions on good books that I should enrich my knowledge from?

Thanks.

Cisco Press TCP/IP Volumes I & II
CISCO Certification: Bridges, Routers & Switches for CCIEs,
ISBN0130903892
Routing Architectures by Halabi, 157870233X
Caslow and Doyle as well.
Exam Cram or the
Sybex book are tailored to the exam.

For the written, I used several books. The best was the Caslow book. The Doyle book (volume1) was a close second. Don't forget about Cisco's website. They have a blueprint for the written that will show you every topic covered on the exam. Don't bother with the Exam Cram. It is full of errors and it doesn't go into enough detail on any subject. You will need to know how to read RIF's. Here is a web site to help with that: http://www.ccprep.com/resources/new...Token_Ring2.pdf

Just go through the blueprint, go through Caslow and Doyle, along w/ Cisco's website and you'l do just fine.

Happy networking!!

I just failed the exam today with a 65%. I wish I had checked this thread earlier in the week.
