| I just installed a router with full T1 , a PIX and a switch for a small business. Now I need to set up vpn access at the router with authentication for a their partners(five people throughout the usa) to reach the dmz. Then, two people need to vpn through the router, the dmz and the pix to reach the lan. Also, the router i installed has a ios version 12 with firewall and ipsec/vpn support. They are using the router as their first firewall and the pix as their second/lan firewall. (With the dmz obviously between the pix and router. The install of the hardware was a breeze, but am having issues with the vpn and firewall needs. I have the cisco press book for pix, vpn, mcns, and IT and much data from the web. I could use some step by step at the pix and router levels as well as the vpn clients. Thanks again and wish me luck....

The key here is design and planning, what you should do is try to accomplish one goal at a time(form the simples to the more difficult). Scale your goals from the bottow the top. Don't try to accomplish too much together because you may enconter some problems and will be more difficult to troubleshoot. Good luck
