1) How do I get an AS # to use with external BGP?
2) Do I need to get Internal BGP AS# as well or I can use any number for the internal bgp

you can use anything you want for testing purposes
as long as you don't bleed them onto the internet
if you need a bgp as #
your isp can assign you one essentially one of theirs based on need,
or if you pay them enough.
also you can apply for your own as #,
but need to supply your ip blocks and prove a need.

Private AS#s run from 64512 through 65535.
