I am hoping some light can be shed on the subject of voice over X in relation to the IE lab. What, in particuilar, is the IE candidate expected to know.

I reading the Solie book, I am more confused that when I started. He mentions various grounds, tips, etc. Am I putting too much focus on this?

CCIE candidates are expected to know how to configure Voice over X(diff media). If you don't have the devices to practice Voice, you can rent a racktime prior to your lab.
