Can somebody give me a good idea on exactly what type of equipment will be needed to simulate lab scenarios. I can come up with 2500, 2600, 2900XL, 4000. However, I am not sure I can get a CAT5000K. Is there a Virtual CAT5K that can be used? Thanks.

Might want to try the Sybex CCNP virtual lab. I'm sure they have a Cat 5000 on it. Hope I able to help. Regards,

Equipment List (From the Cisco website)

2500 series routers
2600 series routers
3600 series routers
4000 and 4500 series routers
3900 series token ring switches
Catalyst 5000 series switches

I suggest that you search the online sites that offer labs and compare the equipment & topology...that way you will have a fair idea.

All I'm missing from mine is the ATM & Token Ring stuff (Cat 5500 and 3900)
