I do.

It is an excellent start, but take my word, don't rely on this book ONLY. Make sure you cover with examples all blueprint topics from Cisco materials as well.

First it is very weak in routing protocols section.

Second, in security applications, they have went too deep into that with no reason.. you will know what I mean if you get this book.

I would suggest you start with this book cover to cover word by word (You can skip most of the Cisco Secure stuff), it is generally a good resource, then after you digest it 100%, make sure to cover the routing protocols from any other source. It would be great too if you have unix security experience, the book doesn't cover much.

Good Luck!

dum,

have u been through the ccie security?

I totally disagree. The book is great, but as I have mentioned before, it shouldn't be the only resource.

I Have just finish reading this book it is a summary of all four books in CSS1 exam. Only difference is that it has some real life config that can help you for LAB and Job.
