| On Wednesday (11-27-02) I successfully completed the new CCIE written format. My interpretation of the test is simply one word difficult. The exam format is well written with questions begin straight forward and to point. Not like the old format which to me seem to be like trick questions. To my fellow CCIE candidates know your material; the test goes a lot deeper than old format. Some questions were asked that I had no idea what the answer could be. I took my test at prometric center, which the passing score is 58 and I passed with a 59( not impressive but I passed). The study material I used was Jeff Doyle volume 1-2, Boson # 3 and NLS ccie written booklet. Good luck to all and see ya in the lab. | |

| I had to take it twice to pass.
Really, *really* difficult.
The questions *seem* straightforward, but rest assured, they are not.
I found it tested my ability to untangle linguistic complications more than a test of what internetworking complications I know. Its the first exam I've ever taken where I took more than 25% of the allowed time; I took 100% of the time and didn't finish even with that - not due to tough exam material, but to impenetrable questions.
Congrats on the pass. I did mine (again) friday, got 59% as well.
edit And yes, English is my first language, and I generall read *very* quickly)... | |
