Is it true that there are "exempt" CCIE's who do not have to renew their certifcations because they were amongst the first to take the CCIE exam?

If this is true, where can I see the list of these CCIE's?

not sure i know your meaning.

all ie's with numbers must recertify or lose active status.

there are god's called cisco fellows though.
