| I am obvioulsy not the only person who has failed this! Like everyone else, I have put a lot of hard study time into this. Flew through the latest Boson tests and felt reasonably prepared. After about 20 questions, I soon realised that there was no way on this Earth I was going to pass!
Of course we all know that feeling when we answer the last question and there is that pause that seems to go on forever before you find out the result. I must admit, I felt quite numb as this was the first Cisco exam that I have failed. I could understand if I had not prepared!
One question that typified the exam was:
'What is the back-off algorithm formula for Ethernet?' There were four 'Newton' type formulae to choose from.

| 2^r-1?
(careful - NDA)
I failed once as well, but I wish you luck in your reattempt

| Does anyone fear the new CCIE Lab exam that's to start on 11/4/02? I'm scheduled to take it in November, and, although I have done a bunch of hands-on, I'm still afraid of it.
Cheers! | |

| The only scary thing is how much time I spent studying CatOS and the 5500... I think the written update was far more drastic in terms of level of difficulty increase. | |

| is there some "additional" change to the lab beyond the 3500 cat and 1day format?
